JACK JOHNSON - JOHNSON DEBUTS AT NUMBER ONE ON U.K. ALBUM CHART

Singer/songwriter JACK JOHNSON has debuted atop the U.K. album chart with his new LP SLEEP THROUGH THE STATIC. The Hawaiian star's fifth studio disc knocked British newcomer Adele off the number one spot - her LP 19 falls to second place, while Nickelback holds on to the number three position with All The Right Reasons. Meanwhile, in the singles chart, Swedish DJ Basshunter's Now You're Gone remains the best-selling track for the fifth consecutive week, while Nickelback's Rockstar climbs one spot to number two and Adele slips a place to third position with her debut single Chasing Pavements. Scottish pop group Wet Wet Wet scored the highest new entry of the week - their new release Weightless landed at number 10.
