JOE SWASH WINS I'M A CELEBRITY...

EastEnders actor Joe Swash has won the latest series of ITV1's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

In a poll of the public, the 26-year-old beat former tennis star Martina Navratilova into second place, with ex-Star Trek actor George Takei voted into third.

Swash proved to be one of the most popular members of the Australian jungle camp, which was blighted by in-fighting and squabbling in the early stages of the programme.

And upon exiting the camp, he told presenters Ant and Dec that he had "a lovely experience" and "couldn't believe [he'd] won".

Swash succeeds fellow actor Christopher Biggins as "king of the jungle".
