JET - JET ALMOST QUIT AFTER DAD'S DEATH

JET siblings CHRIS and NIC CESTER almost walked out on their bandmates for good after their dad died of cancer. JOHN CESTER passed away in 2004 after suffering throat cancer and his rocker children were left so distraught they took their anger out on each other, ruining band relations. The ARE YOU GONNA BE MY GIRL hitmakers were on the brink of splitting before a Barbados recording session a few months later helped put them back on track. Drummer Chris recalls, "We definitely lost the plot. I didn't know how to communicate and for a little while didn't know if Jet were going to make another record. "He (John) was our biggest fan. He was the man who made us dig deep. To lose him was a significant tragedy."
