JAY-Z TO RE-OPEN PALLADIUM

JAY-Z will help re-open Los Angeles landmark the Hollywood Palladium with a big band show on 15 October (08).
The rapper will be backed by a 12-piece band, according to reports.
The Hollywood Palladium closed last spring (Apr07) for major renovations.
Frank Sinatra helped launch the venue when it first opened its doors in 1940. He was a member of the club's first act, the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra.
Jay-Z says, "I'm honoured to play such an iconic venue. Just as Frank ushered in a golden era, I hope this opening will mark the
beginning of a resurgence in generation-defining live music."
The venue has played host to superstars like the Rolling Stones, James Brown, Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Police and rap icons Public Enemy.
