JAY SEAN - JAY SEAN IS A DOUBLE WINNER AT THE U.K. ASIAN MUSIC AWARDS

British R+B star JAY SEAN is celebrating after claiming a pair of honours at the U.K. Asian Music Awards on Friday (07Mar08). The singer was named Best Urban Act at the London ceremony and his Ride It promo was awarded the Best Video prize. And Sean is delighted to be recognised in his own culture. He says, "The awards are the Asian music industry's equivalent of the Brits - it's just a nice little celebration for Asian music." Meanwhile, Bhangra singer Sukshinder Shinda took home the gong for Best Act, rapper Hard Kaur won Best Female, and Punjabi star H Dhami was named Best Newcomer.
