BASEMENT JAXX - JAXX SLAM 'SOULLESS MONEY-MACHINE' WILLIAMS

BASEMENT JAXX have hit out at British pop star ROBBIE WILLIAMS, claiming touring with him was soulless. The duo, FELIX BUXTON and SIMON RADCLIFFE, were stunned by the set up of Williams' European tour, branding it a "corporate money-making machine". Buxton says, "I wouldn't want to repeat the experience. We didn't want to hang out with him. He tried to be down to earth but I think sometimes he probably wonders what he's doing. "It's a big money-making corporate machine. Fans pay a lot of money to get to the gig and then there's the Robbie ring tones and Robbie everything. It's milking money at every point. "It's mass entertainment and it felt a bit soulless."

What springs to mind here is never bite the hand that feeds you!! Will Bjax ever play to crowds as large as the RW tour again??? I've never heard any of Bjax tracks so I can't comment on their musical abilities as a group. I heard on the RADIO (R.W. great tune) that Bjax caused a little traffic jam on Broad Street, Birmingham when they played the NIA. Great venue but relatively small compared to Milton Keynes. I heard schools had to be closed in Leeds bit of a difference, me thinks. I don't know RW in person but I wouldn't say he was soul-less just a little MISUNDERSTOOD (R.W. great lyrics, tune and video) So a tip for the future for Bjax in this business is lose your egos!! How could BJaxx be so ungrateful. Rob invited them to tour with him because he has always liked their music. From what i saw and heard at MKeynes on 14th, not that many people knew who they were, me included until the exposure they got from touring with the biggest name in pop this country has today,(singlehandedly rasing the economy!!). Rob has earned every penny he has, he gives a 110% every time he performs, even though it was obvious he was ill at MK, he was still amazing and i dont regret the money i spent on my ticket/brochure/etc. You get what you pay for, I paid a first class price for first class entertainment, and BJaxx got a taste of it and realised they were way out of his league. Only insecure and arrogant people bitch!!!!
