MICK JAGGER - JAGGER ROCKED ON AFTER DAD'S DEATH

LATEST: SIR MICK JAGGER fought back tears to perform with THE ROLLING STONES in Las Vegas on Saturday (11NOV06), just hours after discovering his father had died from pneumonia. The rocker flew back to Britain to be by JOE JAGGER's bedside after he was hospitalised following a fall on 3 November (06). He rejoined the band in Las Vegas on Saturday in the belief the 93-year-old's health was stable - but was called in Las Vegas at 3pm local time to be told his dad had died. Instead of cancelling the band's performance in Sin City that night, Jagger insisted the show must go on and strutted out onstage with bandmates KEITH RICHARDS, RON WOOD and CHARLIE WATTS. A statement from the Jagger's spokesman says, "Mr (Joe) Jagger was admitted to Kingston Hospital, Surrey, just over a week ago and died of pneumonia. "The family would like to thank the hospital for their care and support."
