YUSUF ISLAM - ISLAM'S L.A. FEARS
Singer YUSUF ISLAM is encouraging celebrities to stay away from Los Angeles - branding the city a "stars' graveyard".
The artist, formerly know as Cat Stevens, relaunched his pop career in 2006 with his first album in 28 years.
However, he's not tempted to join the legions of other recording artists in Tinseltown because the city terrifies him.
He says, "I'd always had a certain resistance to L.A. because I kind of felt it was a bit of a stars' graveyard, you know what I mean?
"I felt, 'I don't want to stick around there too long, there might be an earthquake along - this is where it's going to happen.'"
Islam currently lives with his wife, Fauzia Mubarak Ali, and five children in London, and spends part of each year in Dubai.
