TITANIC - IS CAMERON'S LOST TOMB LIKE GERALDO'S CAPONE SAFE?

The Lost Tomb of Jesus, a documentary produced by Titanic director James Cameron for the Discovery Channel and due to air this Sunday, has, as expected, drawn strong criticism from some scientists and religious scholars. They include two archaeologists who have examined the site of the "tomb," where the caskets of Jesus's family were reportedly found, including one marked, "Judah, son of Jesus," suggesting that Jesus had a son. The two, Amos Kloner and Shimon Gibson, expressed skepticism about the film's conclusions in interviews with the Associated Press. And Stephen Pfann, a biblical scholar at the University of the Holy Land in Jerusalem who was interviewed in the documentary, remarked, "Skeptics, in general, would like to see something that pokes holes into the story that so many people hold dear." How possible is it? On a scale of one through 10 -- 10 being completely possible -- it's probably a one, maybe a one and a half." And on Larry King Live Monday night, Albert Mohler Jr., president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, commented, "I'm going to base my beliefs on the scriptures which hold together far better than the kind of farcical documentary we are talking about here."
