ERIC BANA - 'INTIMIDATED' BANA NEARLY REFUSED NEW MOVIE ROLE

Australian actor ERIC BANA nearly turned down his latest film role, because he found the part too "intimidating".
The Troy star has taken the lead role in low-budget biographical movie Romulus, My Father - a moving drama based on the life of philosopher Raimond Gaita, who moved with his parents from Europe to Australia shortly after the end of the Second World War.
But Bana was overwhelmed by the emotion in the script, and, fearing he would not do Gaita and his family justice, almost refused to take on the role.
He says, "It's one of those projects I was actually quite intimidated by, initially, just because you're taking on a role of someone's memory, someone's father who's passed away."
