INJURED BART PULLS OUT OF YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ON BROADWAY
Former DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star ROGER BART has been forced to pull out of MEL BROOKS' new Broadway musical YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN after badly injuring his back. The actor stepped out of performances at the Hilton Theatre on 13 October (06), and he has been absent ever since. In a statement, a show publicist says, "He is responding well to treatment and is expected to return to the show shortly... He has a lower back problem." Understudy Matthew LaBanca has earned his Broadway debut after taking over the role of Frederick Frankenstein from Bart. No official date has been announced for the injured actor's return.
