INCUBUS - INCUBUS DEBUT AT THE TOP AS JAY-Z SLIPS UP

Rockers INCUBUS have hit the top of the US charts for the first time, ending comeback king JAY-Z's one-week reign. The group's LIGHT GRENADES moved 165,000 copies in its opening week to debut at the top of the Billboard charts yesterday (06DEC06). Jay-Z's comeback suffered a massive set back two days after his 37th birthday (04DEC06) - his KINGDOM COME slipped to sixth place on the new chart with sales of 140,000. He debuted at the top with almost 700,000 sales last week (29NOV06). After six weeks on the chart, the soundtrack to Disney's TV series HANNAH MONTANA returns to the top 10 - it rises from seven to two on the new chart, while former AMERICAN IDOL star CHRIS DAUGHTRY's debut album slips a place to number three,. Meanwhile, Christmas has returned to the US album chart - SARAH MCLACHLAN's festive compilation WINTERSONG jumps from 22 to number seven, while holiday-themed compilation NOW! THAT'S WHAT I CALL CHRISTMAS 3 enters the chart at number 10. It's the first time two Christmas albums have made the top 10 in the same week since December, 2001.
