AMERICAN IDOL - IDOL WINNER HICKS TO STAR IN NEW ORLEANS CARNIVAL

AMERICAN IDOL winner TAYLOR HICKS has signed up to appear as a grand marshal during next year's (07) carnival season in New Orleans, Louisiana. The DO I MAKE YOU PROUD singer has teamed up with the Krewe of Endymion to help the Hurricane Katrina-ravaged city, and will parade with his Krewe on 17 February (07). Hicks was in New Orleans attending a wedding just before Hurricane Katrina struck last year (05). JIM BELUSHI and DAN AYKROYD served as co-grand marshals for the Krewe of Endymion at last year's parade.
