TV talent contest AMERICAN IDOL has scored a happy first - two wannabe pop stars, who met at auditions for the show have just become engaged. Singers CAVETT CARR and DAROLD GRAY failed to make it through to the final rounds of the current season of Idol after auditioning together in Los Angeles. But the disappointment didn't end their love for each other and Gray proposed to his girlfriend on St Valentine's Day (14FEB07).
