AMERICAN IDOL - IDOL STARS UNDERWOOD + DAUGHTRY ARE TRIPLE WINNERS AT AMAS

AMERICAN IDOL stars CARRIE UNDERWOOD and CHRIS DAUGHTRY were both triple threats at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (18Nov07). Underwood claimed Country Female Artist, Favourite Artist and Country Album honours, while Daughtry's self-named rock act picked up Breakthrrough Artist, Adult Contemporary Artist and Best Pop/Rock Album. Meanwhile, Justin Timberlake was a double winner and it was also a big night for Beyonce, who became the first female to claim the AMA's International Artist accolade. Only five other artists have claimed the rare prize - Michael Jackson, the Bee Gees, Rod Stewart, Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin.
