AMERICAN IDOL - IDOL IS BEATEN!

The first Thursday-night edition of Fox's American Idol this season posted a hefty 14.5 rating and a 22 share at 8:00 p.m., but -- for a change -- it was not the top-rated show of the night. (It did lead at 8:00 p.m.) That honor went, as usual, to ABC's Grey's Anatomy, which drew a 17.5/25 in the overnight ratings at 9:00 p.m. In the same hour, CBS's CSI: Crime Scene Investigation recorded a 14.1/20. The same hour saw Fox's The O.C. draw a 4.4/6, a 70-percent plunge from its Idol lead-in. At 10:00 p.m., an Oprah Winfrey Oscar interview special on ABC took over first place, recording an 11.8/19.

Love Grays Anatomy and so glad that is it is doing well. I think it will gain
more and more viewers as more leave American Idol. Sometimes I wonder if some
of AI is staged and almost "Jerry Springer" like and not sure I like some of
the things I have read about the PTB there on that show. I love Dr. Mc Dreamy
and Mc Steamy and love the whole concept of the Hospital drama !!! LOVE IT !!
