HULK HOGAN - HULK HOGAN WIFE SEEKS DIVORCE

The wife of famous wrestler Hulk Hogan has filed for divorce after being married to the star for over 20 years.

The strongman's spouse, Linda, filed papers to begin legal proceedings to end the marriage in a court in Pinellas County, Florida.

Hogan, whose family stars in reality television show Hogan Knows Best, only heard of the news when he was called by a reporter from the St Petersburg Times.

The World Wrestling Entertainment star told the reporter he was unaware of developments but thanked the journalist for the "great information".

Hogan later called back the reporter and said he was in shock after hearing of the news.

Soon after their first conversation, he called the reporter saying: "I'm kind of shocked. You caught me off-guard. My wife has been in California for about three weeks. ... Holy smokes. Wow, you just knocked the bottom out of me. ... I just pulled over to the side of the road for five minutes to find out what was going on here."

The couple who have two children, 19-year-old Brooke and 17-year-old Nick, have been going through difficult times of late. Their son was recently arrested for drink driving after crashing his car in a race with a friend. The family lives in a 20,000 square feet home in Clearwater Florida
