HUGH GRANT SIGNS UP FOR LOST FOR WORDS
Hugh Grant is in negotiations to take the lead in the romantic comedy LOST FOR WORDS alongside Chinese actor Zhang Ziyi.
The venture would see Grant reunited with Richard Curtis and Working Title producers Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner, a collaboration which has been responsible for hit movies such as FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL, NOTTING HILL and LOVE ACTUALLY.
The movie would see Zhang Ziyi's director character approach Grant to star in a Chinese film.
It is thought that the plot would involve Grant falling for the translator on set, before realising he is actually in love with Ziyi's character, a situation the translator then exploits.
Susanne Bier is to direct the movie, already having credits such as things We Lost in the Fire and After the Wedding to her name.
Elsewhere, Grant recently paid an emotional tribute to his late mother at a charity dinner.
