HUDSON: 'ROBINSON QUIT BOOZE FOR ME'

Hollywood actress KATE HUDSON was so worried about husband CHRIS ROBINSON developing an addiction to alcohol, she threatened to leave him to make him stop drinking. The ALMOST FAMOUS star, who separated from THE BLACK CROWES singer Robinson last week (14AUG06), gave Robinson an ultimatum near the start of their relationship - and he chose to quit boozing. She says, "When I met Chris he would start (drinking) at ten in the morning. I said I was done with the alcohol, I was done with being with a man who was a drinker. And it was amazing. He just stopped. He's not sober but the importance of alcohol just disappeared." The couple wed in 2000 and have a two-year-old son, RYDER.
