TERRENCE HOWARD - HOWARD CHALLENGED COSBY OVER BIG BREAK DISAPPOINTMENT

HUSTLE + FLOW star TERRENCE HOWARD once challenged TV star BILL COSBY when a scene on THE COSBY SHOW featuring the back of his head was cut. The actor told his family and friends to watch the show and was left red-faced when his scene didn't appear, so he went to the TV studio to personally complain to Cosby. Howard recalls, "He lets me come in and talk to him and was like, 'What's on your mind?' and I said, 'I watched the show last night... It was good but y'all cut me out.' "He was like, 'Well, that happens,' and I said, 'I told everybody in my school that I was on the show and I was embarrassed.' "He said, 'Well you don't tell nobody that you're on the show, you let people call you and say they saw you.'" The teenage Howard then offered his one-time boss a parting slight: "(I said), 'It's been nice working with you, I'd like to do it again but if this is how it is I don't want to be in this business.'"
