WHITNEY HOUSTON - HOUSTON EXPRESSES 'SADNESS' AT BROWN'S CLAIMS

LATEST: R+B superstar WHITNEY HOUSTON is upset BOBBY BROWN has gone public with damaging claims about their 15-year marriage in his new autobiography. Brown has revealed all in his forthcoming tome Bobby Brown: The Truth, The Whole Truth And Nothing But..., in which he blames Houston for the breakdown of their relationship and insists she married him for all the wrong reasons. In one chapter, the 39-year-old singer even claims Houston is responsible for getting him hooked on hard drugs. He writes: "I never used cocaine until after I met Whitney. Before then, I had experimented with other drugs, but marijuana was my drug of choice. "At one point in my life, I used drugs uncontrollably. I was using everything I could get my hands on, from cocaine to heroin, weed and cooked cocaine." Houston has since responded to the allegations and expressed her disappointment at the deterioration of their relationship - but she refuses to hit back with accusations of her own. Her spokesperson says, "Miss Houston is sad that Bobby feels he needs to say such things, but she chooses to take the high road and will not speak badly about the father of her child, even if it's to set the record straight." The couple married in 1992 and divorced in 2007. Houston and Brown have a 15-year-old daughter together, named Bobbi Kristina Houston Brown.
