HOT CHIP TALK NEW MATERIAL

HOT CHIP have been discussing their plans for the follow-up to their current album MADE IN THE DARK.

With appearances at Glastonbury, Bestival and Benicassim this year, the band are intending to star work on their next album after Christmas, which could be out by Autumn next year, reports the BBC.

Guitarist Al Doyle said: "We're not rushed about it, we've all had a very busy year.

"We're quite exhausted so I think probably the earliest it would be out is Autumn and we would be working fast to do that."

However, he added that is likely that HOT CHIP-related music may appear before then, as all the band members have been working on side and solo projects.

The band have also been considering the scale their future shows will take, claiming that the Brixton Academy is the ideal size of venue for the HOT CHIP experience.

"It's too far away, or if you don't feel like you have that personal connection with the crowd, then it becomes like watching a movie," said Doyle.
