KATIE HOLMES will make a trans-American dash from her final Broadway performance to congratulate TOM CRUISE if he wins a Golden Globe award on Sunday night (11Jan08).
While the actress takes her final bow in All My Sons, Cruise will be 3,000 miles (4,828 kilometres) away in Hollywood, anxiously waiting to learn if he has picked up a Best Supporting Actor prize for his performance in comedy movie Tropic Thunder.
As soon as she has finished, Holmes will race to the airport and make the six hour journey to reunite with her husband after the awards bash.
Cruise explains, "We discussed it, and she told me I should go. So I'm going to the Golden Globes with her father and my mother.
"She's going to finish her show and we'll meet at the afterparties."
