The much-anticipated new action movie that was to bring comic book heroes SUPERMAN, WONDER WOMAN and BATMAN together on the big screen has been shelved due to the ongoing Hollywood writers strike, according to internet reports. Justice League America was expected to start shooting next month (Feb08), with Mad Max director George Miller at the helm, but script concerns have reportedly ended plans to go forward with the film. Adam Brody, Scott Porter, rapper Common and December Boys star Teresa Palmer had already been cast in leading roles - with Brody set to play The Flash and Porter signed as Superman. But movie news website IESB.net reports the film is "officially on hold", adding there are no plans to start shooting "until, at the very least, after the writers strike has been resolved." Sources tell the site filming won't start until June (07) at the earliest. An unnamed crew member claims a "big meeting" took place on the set in Australia earlier this week (beg14Jan08), and set employees have been given one-week's notice to look for other work.
