JOOLS HOLLAND - HOLLAND'S PIANO FETCHES GBP6,000 AT AUCTION

British jazz musician and TV presenter JOOLS HOLLAND's beloved piano fetched GBP6,000 ($10,800) at a London auction yesterday (02OCTO6). The former SQUEEZE star played his prized Yamaha GT7 when he performed with a host of music legends, including SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY, TOM JONES, PRINCE BUSTER and THE BLOCKHEADS. The money from the sale at London's auction house Bonhams will go to a music project charity. Holland says, "I would like to congratulate the person who bought this piano. "Tom Jones, Paul MCCartney, SOLOMON BURKE, JEFF BECK and many others have all been accompanied by this piano, played this piano, placed drinks, notes, coats, hats, private implements on this piano."
