PARIS HILTON - HILTON AND MOAKLER'S ASSAULT CASES REFERRED TO LA CITY ATTORNEY

The Los Angeles Police Department has completed an investigation into the brawl between PARIS HILTON and SHANNA MOAKLER last month (OCT06) and turned the case over to the LA City Attorney's office, who will decide if charges are to be filed. The pair were involved in a scuffle at Hyde nightclub in Hollywood, which ended with both parties filing police reports. The STARS ARE BLIND singer claims former MISS USA Moakler hit her in the jaw, while Moakler alleges that Hilton's ex-boyfriend, STAVROS NIARCHOS, pushed her down a flight of stairs. The LAPD referred the case to the City Attorney's office on Tuesday (14NOV06) and they are now deciding whether to file misdemeanour battery charges against Moakler and Niarchos, according to entertainment news website TMZ.com. The feud between Hilton and Moakler was triggered by Hilton's relationship with former BLINK-182 drummer TRAVIS BARKER, who is Moakler's estranged husband. Days before the incident, Hilton, who is a former friend of Moakler's, was videotaped passionately kissing Barker at a New York City nightclub.
