CHRIS MARTIN - HEALTH DRIVE FOR COLDPLAY

CHRIS MARTIN and his COLDPLAY bandmates are on a strict diet - after former THE STONE ROSES star GARY 'MANI' MOUNFIELD ordered them to shape up.
The frontman, husband of former macrobiotic dieter Gwyneth Paltrow, had been piling on the pounds with his groupmates since completing their latest album, Viva La Vida.
But the rockers are now on a serious health kick - after the former Stone Roses bassist Mani warned them: "Nobody wants a fat pop star."
Martin says, "It happens whenever we have some downtime, usually between albums.
"We get very hairy and kind of morph into Bill Oddie (chubby British TV presenter) - we stack on the weight.
"He (Mani) was eating a sandwich and I asked him what was in it. He told me it was salad and that I should eat the same."
