ETHAN HAWKE - HAWKE CREDITS NEW YORK FOR HIDING THURMAN

ETHAN HAWKE loves living in New York because he can get on with his daily life without bumping into his ex-wife UMA THURMAN, despite living near her. The TRAINING DAY star and Thurman divorced in 2004 after six years of marriage, and Hawke is thankful the city is so busy he doesn't have to worry about accidentally finding out what she is up to. He says, "We live down the street from each other. If we lived down the street from each other in Minneapolis, I'd have to watch every car go in and out of the driveway. "I'd know how late she stayed out. I don't have to know any of that stuff."
