Scottish rock band The View are top of the album charts with their debut effort, Hats Off To The Buskers.

The four-piece saw off competition from chart veteran Damon Albarn, whose latest effort as part of The Good, The Bad And The Queen was the second highest new entry at number two.

Slipping off the top spot was Amy Winehouse's Back To Black album, but Mika's Grace Kelly did better by clinging onto number one in the singles chart for a second week running.

There was no change at number two, with Just Jack's Starz In Their Eyes a non-mover, but Mason's Exceeder advanced up five places to reach number three this week.

Jojo's Too Little Too Late stayed at number four, a rock of stability as The View's Same Jeans slipped from one place above it to one place below at number five.

At least they'll have the consolation of a new number one record to keep them happy.
