EAST 17 - HARVEY BANNED FROM DRIVING

EAST 17 star BRIAN HARVEY has been banned from driving - after he was found guilty of a speeding offence. The British singer was found by police officers to be travelling over 138 miles per hour (222 kilometres per hour) in the south of England last May (08). Harvey denied the offence, claiming police stopped the wrong car after losing it in a chase. He also alleged the patrolmen were lying, and had defective eyesight. But the pop star was found guilty of speeding, and was banned from driving for 180 days, given a $300 (GBP150) fine and ordered to pay $480 (GBP240) in court costs. Harvey says, "The magistrates were very lenient and I appreciate that."
