GEORGE HARRISON - HARRISON LYRICS UP FOR AUCTION

Lyrics handwritten by GEORGE HARRISON for his BEATLES hit WHILE MY GUITAR GENTLY WEEPS are expected to raise $400,000 (GBP205,000) at an auction in Arizona this month (15JAN07).
The song, written and recorded in 1968, reveals the deep rift that had developed within the band at the time. The lyrics will go on sale alongside the last piece of Beatles memorabilia ever created - SIR GEORGE MARTIN's original score for the same song, written for the new Beatles show Love at Las Vegas' Cirque du Soleil.
It is unknown what kind of price Martin's score - signed by himself, SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY, RINGO STARR, OLIVIA HARRISON and YOKO ONO - will attract. All proceeds from that item will be donated to The George Martin Music Foundation charity.
