Actress EVA GREEN has laughed off rumours she once turned down a date with French president NICOLAS SARKOZY, insisting she's never met the politician.
The Casino Royale beauty, a French native, was alleged to have been propositioned by Sarkozy before he wed model/singer/actress Carla Bruni earlier this year (08).
But Green has dismissed the claims, admitting she admires Bruni - although she's not a fan of her new mature wardrobe.
She says, "I have never met the man. The whole thing is ridiculous, though funny. People like to criticise Sarkozy and put him down by saying he approached many actresses before marrying Carla.
"I wish Carla well and it's good that the first lady is cool. But she used to wear jeans the whole time - and now she has to wear these granny outfits!"
