LETHAL WEAPON - GLOVER TRICKED INTO COURT SET-UP
LETHAL WEAPON star DANNY GLOVER was tricked into going to court yesterday (12MAR07) by two brothers who claimed to have a movie proposal for the actor.
Glover, 60, turned up with his lawyer MARTY SINGER for a meeting at a New York courthouse with LENNOX and LESTER PARRIS, but instead they found the brothers standing trial for stock fraud.
Singer says, "(Glover) thought it was a conference room, and when he arrived, it was a courtroom."
The situation was made worse when the actor was prevented from leaving by a photographer, reports the New York Post.
His lawyer adds, "There was a provocation. (Glover) had to shove him aside. I was told that he did not hit the guy."
The Parris brothers face fraud charges for selling 28 million shares of now defunct company Queench. They allegedly made $2.55 million (GBP1.3 million) from the deal.
