HARRY POTTER - GAMBON RECEIVES HONORARY DEGREE

HARRY POTTER star SIR MICHAEL GAMBON has been awarded an honorary degree for his contribution to the arts from England's University of Kent. The actor - who plays Professor Dumbledore in the Harry Potter film franchise - received the honorary doctorate at Canterbury Cathedral on Thursday (12Jul07). He was joined by artist Tracey Emin who was shortlisted for the Turner Prize in 1999 and has had solo exhibitions across the world.
