GALLAGHER PLANS TO 'TONE DOWN' PARTYING

OASIS frontman LIAM GALLAGHER has vowed to clean up his act for the good of his voice.
The Wonderwall hitmakers are currently preparing for their latest world tour, which kicks off later this month (Aug08) in Seattle, Washington - and Gallagher wants to be on top form.
He tells British newspaper The Times, "Last week me (sic) voice was a bag o's**te, I had to have a word with myself. I want this to be a success, I want this to be great, I thought, 'I'm going to have to tone it down a bit'.
"Load of big fat lines, load of cigarettes, staying up late talking the same s**t you talked the night before and the night before that, that's not good for it (his voice).
And the musician is keen to point out that even at his worst, his voice is still better than most of his contemporaries.
He adds, "When it's good, no one can touch me. And when it's bad, it's a bit better than Pete Doherty."
