FURIOUS STEVE-O WAS DITCHED AFTER PARTY CLAIMS

Troubled stuntman STEVE-O's fiancee BRITNEY has called off their wedding after media reports claimed he had snorted drugs and tried to pick up women at a party, just days before he checked into hospital. An American tabloid printed pictures on Wednesday (26Mar08) of the star appearing to snort a white powder from a woman's leg, images it claims were taken at a 9 March (08) bash. A partygoer told the magazine Steve-O - real name Stephen Glover - "was so wasted. He was hitting on random girls and asking to snort off their breasts." But the Jackass star has hit back, blaming the media "lies" for the breakdown of his relationship. Writing in his blog from Los Angeles Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he is currently being treated for mental health problems following an alleged suicide attempt, he says, "The stories that are circulating right now about me being at some party hitting on random girls and asking to snort drugs from their breasts are not true at all. I will be the first to admit that I've snorted all kinds of drugs, in all sorts of situations, but I take offence to claims that I was running around hitting on random women at a time when I was under the impression that I was engaged to be married. "I'm a tough guy, with very thick skin, but that doesn't mean I take kindly to being lied about, especially when it comes to behaviour that took place after I asked someone to marry me and before I was informed, by the girl I asked to marry me, that she had completely changed her mind about getting married."
