French rocker JOHNNY HALLYDAY will retire from live performing following a farewell tour in 2009. The singer, 64, feared he would "become pathetic" if he continued touring - but he still plans to record new music. He adds, "I've decided to stop. I made this decision, not an easy one, because there comes a day when you have to stop."
