ALIENS - FRAGGLE ROCK SET FOR BIG SCREEN OUTING

Fraggle Rock is set to become a live-action musical with a mix of humans and the Jim Henson puppets, according to a report.
Variety claims The Weinstein Co (TWC) wants to turn the children's TV series into a film, with Hoodwinked director Cory Edwards to direct the picture and write the screenplay.
According to the report, The Jim Henson Co will produce and TWC will distribute the feature.
Core characters Gogo, Wembley, Mokey, Boober and Red all make it onto the big screen when they leave their home of Fraggle Rock and meet humans who they think are aliens.
Ahmet Zappa, Frank Zappa's son, will be executive producer with Brian Inerfeld.
Rumours of a Fraggle film have been around for a while, but the deal between TWC and the Jim Henson Co brings the project closer to realisation.
Fraggle Rock aired on US network HBO and around the world for five series in the 1980s. The show featured Fraggles and Doozers living together in harmony at Fraggle Rock trying to avoid the wrath of the Gorgs - with the help of Marjory, the all-knowing, all-seeing trash heap.
