FOX HOPEFUL OBAMA WILL CHANGE MEDICAL LAWS

Actor and Parkinson's Disease sufferer MICHAEL J. FOX is hopeful U.S. President-elect BARACK OBAMA will speed up the race for a cure for what ails him and millions of others.
Obama aides have hinted the Democrat will overturn strict restrictions on stem-cell research imposed by George W. Bush, the current occupant of the White House.
If medical researchers are allowed to experiment with embryonic stem cells, they believe they can make great strides towards finding cures for diseases like Parkinson's, and helping people with spinal injuries walk again.
And Fox, who was diagnosed with the degenerative disorder in 1991, is confident. He says, "Hope is the buzzword. I think we're all pretty confident that this will be an open time and a time to support science and medical research."
