CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL - FOGERTY EXPLAINS TOUR DELAY

CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL frontman JOHN FOGERTY spent so many years away from the stage because he was wrapped up in his legal problems. The BAD MOON RISING hitmaker, 61, fell out with the band's record label Fantasy after the group disbanded in 1971 and had to buy himself out of his contract. Fogerty no longer speaks to his former bandmates STU COOK and DOUG CLIFFORD. He says, "After Creedence split, I had so many legal problems with my old label Fantasy that I neglected touring. "It took me a while to get back to normality. "(I say) 'When you're seeing lawyers, you've got problems,' too often. For a long time, it seems that all I was allowed to think about was lawsuits. It overshadowed the music."
