FLEET FOXES TAKE ALBUM ARTWORK AWARD
Folk rockers FLEET FOXES have beaten COLDPLAY and British rapper ROOTS MANUVA to win the Best Art Vinyl Award 2008 for the CD cover of their self-titled album.
The disc's artwork features parts of Pieter Bruegel's painting Netherlandish Proverbs.
It was named winner of the annual prize after a poll conducted by Artvinyl.com, taking the accolade ahead of Roots Manuva's Slime And Reason, and Colplay's Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends, which came in second and third place respectively.
Others to feature in the top 10 include Goldfrapp's Seventh Tree at four, Metallica's Death Magnetic at six, and Bloc Party's Intimacy at seven.
