FIRST SHOTS OF TOP GEAR CRASH

LATEST: The first pictures of the dramatic jet car crash which almost killed TOP GEAR presenter RICHARD HAMMOND last September (06) have been published in today's (18JAN06) British papers. Hammond was filming a stunt for the popular TV show when his dragster careered off the track leaving him with severe head injuries. The photos show a tyre blow on the dragster, before barrel-rolling across the grass. The programme makers have confirmed the footage will appear on the show when it airs again on BBC2 on 28 January (07).
