BOB DYLAN - FIRST EXHIBITION OF DYLAN'S ART HELD

The first exhibition of rocker BOB DYLAN's artwork took place in a German museum on Sunday (28Oct07). The Drawn Blank Series event was held at the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz museum in the city of Chemnitz, where 170 of Dylan's drawings and paintings are on show. All the work displayed was created between 1989 and 1992 for a book called Drawn Blank, which museum curator Ingris Moessinger saw on a recent visit to New York. Moessinger says, "Bob Dylan selected the works for the exhibit himself." Dylan adds, "I was fascinated to learn of Ingrid's interest in my work and it gave me the impetus to realise the vision I had for these drawings many years ago. If not for this interest, I don't know if I even would have revisited them."
