FERGUSON BECOMES U.S. CITIZEN
Scottish talk show host CRAIG FERGUSON has cleared the first hurdle on his way to becoming a U.S. citizen - he passed his citizenship test with a perfect score. The TV presenter, who fronts the Late Late Show, will take part in an official ceremony next month (Feb08) where he will be officially sworn in as an American. Ferguson started his campaign to be an official U.S. resident last June (07) when he received a letter from the major of Ozark, Arkansas, granting him "honorary citizenship" of the town. He went on to become an honorary citizen of 16,109 communities across the United States. And the host insists the test was harder than it looked. He says, "All of you people born here, if you had to take that test - well, Canada would be building a fence right now."
