EMILIO ESTEVEZ - ESTEVEZ: 'DEMI MOORE'S BOOZY SINGER IS NOT TEE-TOTAL CLOONEY'

Actor/director EMILIO ESTEVEZ has killed reports suggesting the boozy lounge singer played by his ex-fiance DEMI MOORE in new movie BOBBY is based on late, great ROSEMARY CLOONEY because the WHITE CHRISTMAS star didn't drink. Clooney was present at The Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles on the night ROBERT F KENNEDY was assassinated in 1968 - the premise for Estevez's new film BOBBY - but she wasn't performing. The director insists Moore's alcoholic character wasn't based on any real-life lounge act. He says, "This character that Demi plays is not based on Rosemary... Rosemary Clooney was there. She was a great supporter of Bobby." In fact, it was the EVERLY BROTHERS who were performing at the Ambassador on the night of Kennedy's assassination.
