ESTELLE - ESTELLE TAKES U.K. NUMBER ONE

Singer/rapper ESTELLE has scored her first number one - her new single AMERICAN BOY has debuted atop the U.K. singles chart. The hit song, which features hip-hop star Kanye West, ended Welsh soul singer Duffy's five-week run at pole position. Her single Mercy slips down to second place. British star Leona Lewis is at number three with her double A-side single Better In Time/Footprints In The Sand, while OneRepublic's Stop And Stare and Nickelback's Rockstar round out the top five at fourth and fifth respectively. Meanwhile, Madonna makes a welcome return to the singles chart with her new tune 4 Minutes - her Justin Timberlake and Timbaland collaboration is a new entry at number seven on download sales alone. In the albums chart, rockers Muse have failed to knock Duffy's Rockferry LP from the top spot - their new release Haarp debuts at number two.
