GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL - EMILY EAVIS: WEATHER NOT JAY-Z TO BLAME FOR FALL IN GLASTONBURY REGISTRATIONS

Glastonbury Festival organiser EMILY EAVIS has attributed the declining number of people registering for tickets to the bad weather rather than the announcement that JAY-Z will have a headlining slot.
Eavis told NME magazine that the figures were down due to the rain and mud at the past two festivals.
"I'm sure it's because of the weather," she the publication.
"People only remember the last festival, so if it was really muddy
I don't blame them, to be honest. Everybody needs a rest."
Emily, who is the daughter of Glastonbury founder MICHAEL EAVIS, added that as soon as Michael announced that registration numbers were down tens of thousands of people logged on to be in with a chance of getting tickets to the famous festival.
Previously, Michael told the BBC that registration was slower than normal because the festival did not have a "super, big, big, big sort of headlining act" like in previous years.
The headlining acts on the other two nights are KINGS OF LEON and THE VERVE.
