ELVIS PRESLEY - ELVIS BACK IN CHARTS

Elvis Presley has proved yet again that being dead is no barrier to music chart success.

The King charted at number 14 this week with his classic hit Hound Dog after fans celebrated the 30th anniversary of his death last month.

Meanwhile Sean Kingston has scored his first British number one with Beautiful Girls. The newcomer to the chart scene swapped places with Kanye West's Stronger to reach the top of the charts, giving the 17-year-old his first UK number one this week.

At number three were Plain White T's with Hey There Delilah, while former chart-topper With Every Heartbeat from Robyn was at four. Rihanna's Shut Up and Drive rounded off the top five.

In the album chart, Newton Faulkner's Hand Built by Robots clung on for a second week at the top this week.

The British singer and guitarist held off Amy Winehouse's Back to Black and Life in Cartoon Motion by Mika, at two and three respectively, while Elvis Presley's current best-of slipped two to four and Kate Nash's Made of Bricks fell one to number five.

The Creeps' Freaks took the highest new entry accolade on the singles chart at number nine.

Hey Venus from the Super Furry Animals was the best new effort on the album chart, coming in at number 11.
