ELTON JOHN - ELTON TO PRODUCE WEST END MUSICAL?

SIR ELTON JOHN is reportedly looking to return to the West End with a theatre production of PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT.
The rocker, who helped take movie BILLY ELLIOTT to the London stage, watched an Australian production of the show during a recent trip to Sydney and sources say he is keen to take it back to Britain.
Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert is inspired by the 1994 movie starring HUGO WEAVING, GUY PEARCE and TERENCE STAMP, and features drag queens miming to classic hits like I WILL SURVIVE and SHAKE YOUR GROOVE THING.
A source says, "Elton said he wanted to buy it as a producer. Judging by his fondness for outlandish outfits and lavish performances, it's unlikely to be low-key!"
