LEONARD COHEN - EAVIS PRAISES LEONARD COHEN

Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis has said that LEONARD COHEN was his favourite performer at this year's festival.
The legendary songwriter appeared on the Pyramid Stage on Sunday June 29th, with Eavis watching form the side of the stage.
Speaking to the Independent, the 72-year-old organiser said: "Leonard Cohen was so polite and such a gentleman. He took his hat off every time he finished a song, and bowed to the audience."
Cohen was responsible for a Glastonbury 'moment' when he played his track Hallelujah, which has memorably covered by Jeff Buckley on his 1994 album GRACE.
Coinciding with sun setting, Cohen adapted the lyrics of the song from "I told the truth, I didn't come here to fool ya" to "I told the truth, I didn't come to Glastonbury to fool ya".
After singing all the words with him, the crowd gave Cohen a standing ovation, with the veteran songwriter praising the festival's "angels of the mud".
